Pam Topham

These are tapestries based on a memory of being caught in a Squal in Block Island Sound . We were under-equipped and lacked experience for such sailing..we couldn’t  point toward  Montauk without broaching ,so were blown up toward Connecticut. We jibbed heading in between Connecticut and Fishers island .
My motto from this harrowing experience is ” if you survive , it ‘s an adventure”.
Recalling this drama, I wove eccentric weave silk waves in hues of gray and blue ( from Silk Tree in Vancouver)
In the 2nd tapestry the the storm clouds are also a bit fancifully woven eccentrically .
